Parents looking to make a good investment for family holidays should consider the possibility of purchasing a caravan.
That is according to Louise Wood, spokeswoman for the National Caravan Council (NCC), who feels static caravans represent an ideal option for breaks with loved ones, as they offer "all the advantages of a holiday home without the expense".
Ms Wood explained the vehicles could be the perfect solution for people wanting to enjoy a cost-effective way of holidaying, as many modern caravans have well-equipped kitchens, meaning families can self-cater instead of going out and spending money on meals in restaurants.
"Many parks also offer extensive children's activities, excellent play areas and sports facilities – keeping the family's entertainment budget down," she added.
In addition, the NCC official went on to say individuals can recoup some of their investment by leasing out their caravans to other holidaymakers at certain times during the year.
