A good example from their parents is essential for kids when it comes to healthy eating.
Naomi Richards, a Life Coach for children at The Kids Coach, observed if youngsters are not encouraged to consume the right produce then they may eat high fat or salty foods when out of the house.
"Children watch and learn from their parents, so they need to be food and healthy eating role models," she added.
One of the best ways for mums and dads to get their message across is to make the whole family sit at the dinner table for meal times.
As well as offering parents the chance to make sure their little ones eat right, it also provides everyone with an opportunity to talk about their day and if they want, their thoughts and feelings, Ms Richards observed.
The expert continued by saying good habits picked up by kids will stay with them throughout their lives, which they may also then pass on to their own offspring.
