Neath Port Talbot College, the University of Oxford and Ruskin College have the happiest students in the UK.
This is according to a study by Which? University that saw all three learning centres record a student satisfaction rating of 89 per cent.
Some 262 universities and colleges were assessed as part of the investigation and other high scorers are the University of Cambridge (88 per cent), Tameside College (86 per cent) and Leeds College of Art (84 per cent).
Universities Minister David Willett noted it is vital that youngsters choose the right institution and they need to have all of the relevant information at their disposal in order to do this.
"Anything that helps people to zero in on the best course for their needs and ambitions is … valuable," he added.
Richard Lloyd, Which? executive director, said that no one should be making one of the biggest decision of their lives without proper guidance.
With the increase in tuition fees – some universities will charge up to £9,000 a year – this choice will have even greater financial consequences for students than before.
