Families love getting away in the summer for two weeks of relaxation and hopefully good weather.
It gives parents and kids the opportunity to spend some quality time with each other and recharge their batteries.
Over the past few years, the popularity of the staycation has increased as people look to save money on the cost of a break.
However, holiday parks group Best of British has stated there is also an increase in the number of trips featuring grandparents.
It seems grandma and granddad are being carted along to swell the family unit, as this means cheaper premiums and more adults to look after the kids.
Best of British chairman Claire Jeavons stated: "British staycations are gaining ground and families are using the opportunity to come together and enjoy each other's company in neutral territory away from home."
She went on to note the best way to create a relaxed atmosphere on holiday is to have a diverse mix of ages.
