A spokeswoman for Cumbria Tourism noted the county is ideally placed for people to experience some breathtaking scenery thanks to the Lake District – the largest national park in England and Wales.
"With a diverse landscape offering everything from England's highest mountain and deepest lake to stunning coastal villages and lands rich in Hadrian's Wall heritage there is a lot to discover," she added.

From self-catering accommodation to quirky camping pods and retro VW camper vans, parents and their children will be given the opportunity to discover the location on their own terms.
As well as this, people have the chance to go to Michelin-starred restaurants and luxury lakeside spa retreats.
