Grandparents guide to CTF

Many grandparents think that their grandchildren get too many presents. Would they prefer to contribute towards your child’s future instead?

Send a thank you letter

After family and friends have made a contribution, why not send them a thank you letter?

When your child has a birthday or special occasion coming up, family and friends will often ask what they'd like for a present. Many will love the idea of giving a gift with lasting value – such as adding to your child's CTF account.

That's why we've created our free Gift packs - to make it easy for family and friends to do just that.

Our Birthday Pack is ideal if your child has a birthday coming up, whilst our Special Occasions Pack is great for many events - like your child's first day at school or a special ceremony.

In each pack you’ll find some tear-off gift cards personalised with your child's name and their CTF account number (URN). Simply pass them on to your family and friends and make it easy for them to add to your child’s account – either by setting up a Direct Debit or making a one-off payment.

Gift packs also contain specially designed Thank you letters and our Grandparents Guide to CTF.

Or, if you’d prefer, you can call us on 0800 161 3944 quoting reference number UCW4699 – please have the following details to hand:

  • your first name and surname
  • your child's first name and surname
  • your child's CTF account number (URN). This is made up of 2 letters, 6 numbers and then 1 letter e.g. AB123456C and can be found on any correspondence we’ve sent to you
  • your address
  • your child's date of birth (if you’re requesting the birthday pack)

It could be another step towards helping give your child a brighter financial future.

I think it is a brilliant idea plus I love the idea of the gift packs……I have already had people ask about my daughter’s birthday as they would like to put money away for her, so I have just ordered a birthday gift pack.
