The Committee's responsibilities
include:

| reviewing bonus recommendations made by the With
Profits Actuary and submitting these for Board approval if
appropriate, |
| considering whether the Society has complied
with its Principles and Practices of Financial Management and
reporting its findings to the Board, |
| reviewing the Society’s ICA report, statutory
valuation results and FSA returns prior to main Board
approval, |
| receiving the Financial Condition Report,
Realistic Balance Sheet reports and other regular financial
reports, and |
| supporting the Board in ensuring all customers are
treated fairly when financial management decisions are made. |
