A mutual organisation

The Children's Mutual is a trading name of the Tunbridge Wells Equitable Group, which includes the parent firm - Tunbridge Wells Equitable Friendly Society Limited, which is a mutual organisation.

Mutual organisations are effectively owned by their members, and run for the benefit of their members and customers. We are committed to complying with the Annotated Combined Code on Corporate Governance that applies to mutual insurers.


A long history in financial services

We are proud of our long and distinguished history which goes back to 1881. Learn more about our history.


Financial Services Compensation Scheme

We are covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS).

The FSCS is there to protect consumers if a firm becomes insolvent or ceases trading, and may be able to provide compensation in such circumstances. Learn more about the FSCS.
